The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has expressed its strong opposition to the recent imposition of unilateral coercive measures by the outgoing United States government.
In an official statement, the Venezuelan government described these measures as a desperate act of a “decadent and erratic government” attempting to divert attention from its own electoral failures and the escalating social crisis it faces.
The statement further emphasizes that such actions do not promote democracy in Venezuela; rather, they seek to revitalize a fascist group lacking popular support in an effort to prolong its unsuccessful regime change policy.
These actions, which are particularly directed against a group of patriots who have worked tirelessly to safeguard peace, stability, and national unity, are perceived as aggression from a government that aims to destabilize the country and undermine the democratic will of the Venezuelan people.
The statement also highlights that, four months after the significant popular victory in reelecting President Nicolas Maduro, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela continues to reaffirm its “unwavering commitment to consolidating a participatory and proactive democratic model, as well as strengthening the country’s economy in the face of constant external aggression.”
Additionally, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela consistently reaffirms its loyalty to its historical legacy characterized by its struggle for sovereignty, reiterating that “the people of Bolívar and Chávez will not be bent.”
The communiqué concludes by asserting that Venezuela’s path toward consolidating peace and achieving political, economic, and social stability is irreversible, despite any attempts to undermine it, thereby reaffirming its determination to resist any external attacks.
